Does anyone have an opinion on the recommended oil change interval of 4000 miles? It seems a bit much. When I got the bike, I planned to change the oil and filter every 1,000 miles. I had it done at 600 miles and now the odometer reads a little over 1600. Am I wasting my money by changing it now? Should I do it at 1,500 or 2,000. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.
